From Watteau to David, the Horvitz collection
21 MAR 2017 - 9 JUL 2017
The Petit Palais, located next to the Grand Palais Champs-Elysées, is pleased to present an anthology of nearly 200 paintings, sculptures and above all drawings of the French eighteenth century gathered by the great collector of Boston, Jeffrey Horvitz. Constituted for three decades, it is the largest private collection of French drawings across the Atlantic.
The collection contains works of Watteau, Boucher, Fragonard, Greuze and David, but works of all the notable artists of that period, from Oudry to De Troy, from Natoire to Bouchardon, from Hubert Robert to Vincent, always at their best.
