The museum Marmottan Monet, open since 1934, located in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, features a wide collection of impressionist and post-impressionnist works by Monet, Morisot, Pissarro, Manet, Gauguin, Renoir and many others. The musuem has the largest collection in the world of works by Monet.
From February 23 to July 2, the musuem will host the first monographic exhibition of Camille Pissarro in Paris since the past 36 years. Seventy-five of his masterpieces, paintings and tempera, from the world's greatest museums and prestigious private collections, will retrace his work, from his youth in the Danish West Indies to the great urban series of Paris, Rouen and Le Havre at the end of his life.
